Big things are happening here in Gainesville, Georgia! I live here now, and I could not love it more if I tried. We spend our days in class, learning about public speaking, the power of vulnerability, the gospel, and where we all fit into it. We are taking our knowledge we learn during the day and applying it at night as we go into the neighborhoods of Gainesville, the coffee shops, the parks, and simply befriend our community. We are learning how to walk boldly into a strangers life in order to speak truth and the gospel. So far- so good. With shaking hands we knock on doors and pray for new and broken friends. We get rejected often but ten rejections are more than worth one soul saved. There is a wind rushing through and we get to be apart of the harvest right here, right now. No time for waiting, no need really. We are equipped and called and our story is worth sharing because we are the Kingdom, and we are spreading light where the darkness tries to hide.

This is powerful. We are powerful- because the Lord lives within us. As a body, we belong to each other. Collectively his Bride, called to one purpose yet living with many different gifts. Tucker and I are learning what it means to live on the front lines in the US, which honestly is a pretty new thing considering we spent the last year outside of it. Re-entry is still rough sometimes. I occasionally get confused by the cars driving on the right side of the road and not the left, sometimes I call crackers biscuits and I eat rice and beans too frequently for living in America- but the Kingdom is near because it lives within us- and watching Jesus be glorified in Georgia is just as amazing as it is in India. I’ve traveled the world and I can say confidently that America is not any more or less broken and in need of a Savior and a Father than Ecuador, India, or Zambia.

Many of you may know, but the Lord provided for me to be here in Georgia before I even knew I wanted to move here. I was nearly fully funded before I even applied, and I don’t think I understand the weight of that blessing even when I sit down and try. Many of you also know that I met my boyfriend Tucker on the World Race, there is a long story that comes with that but ultimately we decided to wait all nine months until we were finished with the Race to share our hearts with each other and start dating. We wanted to honor and respect the nine months the Lord had given us to be with Him by not distracting each other. Now, almost five months in I believe that the Lord has brought us here together for a specific purpose. We were made to do ministry together, and in this season we are learning how to love each other and God’s people in order to continue to honor and glorify the Lord in what he has called us into as a couple.

However, Tucker is still in need of $4,000 in the next four weeks to continue here. That number is daunting. I’ve seen the Lord provide over and over throughout my life in missions and outside of missions, but for some reason my little human heart still doubts. Ill admit, I do feel weird asking right now. Simply because its not for me. But we are learning that we are better together than apart, and for him to stay and for us to advance the kingdom together- we need the body to support us. We need the givers and prayer warriors to surround us as we continue. It is defeating at times, but I believe in the wholeness and unity of the Church no matter where we live. This Kingdom is not confined by location or oppressed by financial deadlines. So please, keep us both in your prayers, and if you choose- please consider being apart of the team that supports Tucker and I and the work that we get to be apart of here in Gainesville, Georgia. It may not be India or Zambia, but I believe it is just as powerful and important.
